Just letting you know I'm alive.....
I have been doing well. As most of you know by now the 50th anniversary is coming to a close. It has been great but moving forward we head into our Dream inititive. 'Where Dreams Come True, A Year of a Million Dreams' begins Oct 1st. Some of you may recall the Gift Giver during 1986, well 'Year of a Million Dreams' is similar. Instead of a computer giving you random gifts it will be the "Dream Squad" delivering a personal and magical touch to this adventure. At anytime a Dream Squad memeber could come up to you and give you a gift. Everything from an exclusive pin set to being the Grand Marshal in a Disneyland Parade, and not just one Disneyland parade but one in each of the parks world wide. Yes, every park. Well of course we have to have a Dream Squad first. I was nominated by my management team along with another fellow cast member from hollywood attractions to be part of this amazing and unique experience. Last Wed I was called and offered a spot on this newly formed group. I will be a one of the new corp group of Dream Squad members. I begin my training on Monday. Along with that I have been preparing for an even much more important position with Disney. On Wed Sept 13th I will going through the first round of interviews for Ambassador of the Disneyland Resort. Yep, if I make it I will be the spokesperson, representing the cast and the resort for one years time. It is both an honor and a priviledge to be the Ambassador of Disneyland. More importantly it would be a dream for me. You all know how much I enjoy my job. I don't do it for the money, I do it for the magic I make each day for our guests.
