So yesterday turned out to be quite nice. Mostly quiet, which I prefer. My co-workers surprised me with cake, which was very awesome of them to do especially considering I've only been here a month.
After the long ride home, I met my two of my brothers and my mom and we went out for dinner. The place we went to was really good. A meal was $13 and you got salad or soup, a gigantic portion of whatever you ordered, and a desert. I made it through my soup (cream of mushroom) and about half of my meal (chicken and ravioli in pesto) and one layer of cake (Red Velvet!). I took the left overs in to work for lunch and I still haven't finished it!
Mom got me some lottery tickets, which was nice. I actually won a little bit, which was nicer. Then I settled in to play Puzzle Quest 2 which was my birthday gift to myself. :)
All told, this is the kind of thing I prefer. Nice, low key, quiet. Excellent birthday. :)
Though I think I might add to the gifts for myself thing since my brother pointed out
this. $60 for a plush is a bit much, but it's Okami! And it's adorable!
Now I suppose I should start working on that list of 30 things to do before I'm 30, eh? Start easy, like seeing Toy Story 3 which I hope to do Monday. Though knowing my track record with seeing movies lately, this might go undone. o_O
Hope you all have an excellent holiday weekend. :)
