Thanks for the comments on the jumping ship post (I’ll reply individually too).
A friend mentioned that one of the big reasons for sticking to LJ is the community/friendships. It is one of the bigger reasons I have stuck to Livejournal myself. Their communities also tend to be a lot more popular/active (tho, those have been declining too). I think a lot of folks are moving on to sites like WordPress and Blogger. I actually have a good friend that just went to Blogger recently, so I’m looking at that as a cross-post option … but I feel like you have to be a lot more ‘catchy’ on Blogger/WordPress, and the ‘every day’ blogger doesn’t make ‘friends’. LJ/DW is more for building friendships, but maybe that’s changed. I don’t know! Lol
I did make a Dreamwidth to back-up everything over there, in case LJ does get shut down or ‘Russians Only’ (and don’t know how strict Russian laws are or not strict?). It’s not that I’m all that worried about Russian ‘spies’ reading my posts… I don’t work for anything important enough (and rarely talk in-depth about work anyway lol). It’s more the losing everything OR the chance of them getting my passwords (does that sound too paranoid? Maybe. I dunno!).
If anyone wants to add the Dreamwidth, it is: ireflect.dreamwidth.org. I think a lot of folks are importing, cuz I can’t even get on the site right now, so I’ll add folks tonight (or whenever I am able to get back on it).
But yeah, I don’t plan to leave LJ baring some insane thing happening lol.
In other news, I’ve been making my own breakfast every day this week! I know that doesn’t sound all that amazing, but for a person who has spent 33 years of her life never eating (or occasionally stopping at Dunkin) breakfast … this is a feat. Now I have to see if I continue it … lmao!
My brother is getting married in April, and while my dress fits perfectly, and I am content with myself, I want to try to lose 10-15lbs ‘around the edges’. Just to really tone more and look leaner. So, I’ve been working away at meal plans for the month + being ‘more active than usual’. AND, last night I made some baked Salmon + baked asparagus … omg delicious. So, I made a small collage (I am a psycho, I know! :P).
