The weekends go by way too quickly; even more so it seems, when sick. Danny was sick pretty much all of last week and of course, he doesn’t clean every single surface he cleans when he’s sick (who does?), so while I did avoid him, I must have picked up something …somewhere … at some point. I was feeling half sick Saturday, but then Sunday I barely left the bed.
Thing I’ll miss most when I move out? My mom’s taking care of me when I am sick (: She brought me tea, and made some Theraflu for me at some point as well … I love my mom ♥ and am so thankful for her!
By the end of last night though, I was feeling better and could finally breathe and actually keep something down other than broth. So, this morning I decided to come in. I feel a little achy still, but it’s definitely better than Sunday morning.
Of course that means I didn’t get any writing done on Sunday, but that’s alright. I’m trying to get as much as I can get done this morning, so later this afternoon I can get a little in.
Oh! I also played a crapton of SIMS 3 this weekend. I realized I didn’t need to find my disc, as ORIGIN keeps all of that information, so I installed the base game and all my expansions. Even though I never take my Sims on trips, I just like the ‘stuff’ that comes in the expansions HAHA. I managed to build TWO houses, and play very little Sims. I did really like the second one though, so I finally got my child to a teenager on that family/house.
It was hilarious because I’ve never gotten my Sims to teenage years that I didn’t realize you could have one of the parent’s teach their kid to drive! That was hilarious. Other little things like your Sim could unlock the doll in their bed, so they become ‘real’. My kid somehow managed to do this while I was AFK getting a drink on Sunday … I came back and she’s talking to this kid in a costume only to find out it’s not a kid in a costume but the toy she had in her crib as a baby/toddler! I was a bit freaked out by it, but she loved it. It was quite annoying though, so I had to kill it. :D
So yes, now she is a teenager and I’ve enrolled her in some afterschool crap … which you couldn’t do before too… ha. It was def fun, and I can see myself addicted again… especially as the pets are so cute! I already have a dog and a cat, but I can see them getting more pets, lmao. The expansion I am super excited about though comes out in November! I am so exited … I LOVE SEASONS! It’s a very close second to Pets. It looks like they’re going to make it a lot more interactive too, than it was in SIMS2, so that has me excited as well.
The other game I am looking to get is Guild Wars 2. B is going to get it and I’d like to have a game to play with him again since he refuses to get back into World of Warcraft :D And is the one who got me into WoW! But yeah … that comes out soon (this week? Next?), so that’s the other game I am going to get.
I am also getting the new Medal of Honor game, which I think comes out in October some time. Can’t remember now, but it looked good. I really liked the last one they came out with, but for some reason my computer stopped playing it and all the fixes I’d find online wouldn’t work so I just gave up. Luckily I got a few months (at least 7) out of the game or else I would have been super pissed. It might work now, with my new computer, but I already have games in mind so I don’t think I’d play it much … no point taking up space.
Oh, the other thing I did this weekend was finally finish a book I’ve been trying to get through for over a week. It wasn’t badly written or a bad book, but I thought it would be a bit more interesting than it was … I found it a little boring, but it might interest others. It’s YA, so it was very easy to read, just hard to get into.
That puts me at 52 books read! So, I am going to up my goal for the year to 70 (originally 60).
Have I mentioned how much I love purple? Doesn’t matter the shade, I love purple. I am wearing that color today and it’s great.
The weather has been perfect too! At night it starts to get cool, instead of holding onto that nasty humidity … so I can actually sleep without the air conditioner, which is still grinding up baby kittens (how it sounds). I briefly came out on Saturday night to see what everyone was up to, and they were all outside in the back on the deck, and it was actually pretty chilly out, they were all wearing light sweaters … I was so giddy with it. Sad, I know. I just love this time of year so much ha-ha. It’s technically not autumn yet, but the autumn-like weather makes me squee.
Even today, this morning it was nice and cool and I could tell it was going to be a gorgeous day (not too hot, not too cold). I also love that some of the trees have begun to change. The one at work out front is almost completely changed already, but that tree usually changes early (not sure why). Soon though, it’ll be without it’s leaves ): BUT, I loveeeeee it from now until then.
Okay, rambling on about absolutely nothing … as usual. I was trying to remember when shows started in the Fall and I got myself so confused I had to go ahead and do a list to then save on here. I will put them in my calendar too, but since Im always on my journal, it’ll be nice to have a list I can just quickly pull up.
And with that … I’m shaddaping.
