Is It Time To Go Home Yet?
The last day of work before vacation and it’s a half one at that! (: I don’t want to do anything this morning, ha-ha. Of course…why would I want to do anything? :D It’s a day to be here just to be here (at least until Noon).
We’ve decided to go to the Pond House Café for lunch. I’ve been there once, the food is pretty good. I am going to peek at their menu in a second to get an idea of what I may want. The restaurant is actually located in Elizabeth Park, which is a historical rose garden park (and there are other flowers of course). It’s a very nice park actually. I have very fond memories of the park from my childhood. I think it was the only place my parents knew about to ‘hang out’ when we were kids so we spent a lot of time there throwing frisbee’s, playing soccer with each other or just lounging around.
Of course back then, there wasn’t a Pond House Café, it was an ice cream spot and I think there were some arcade games and it was more of a ‘burger/milkshake/fries’ type of joint. It has changed quite a bit in that area, but the rest of the park is pretty much the same.
I did pack my camera this morning, knowing we’d be going there and that after lunch I would be ‘off work’. Of course, it’s dark and gloomy outside, so if it’s pouring I won’t be able to take photos ): BUT, I am hoping the rain holds off at least or it rains now and then clears up … but knowing my luck it will be pouring when we leave here and continue to pour afterward.
Not that I mind the rain. I am actually really looking forward to a break in this disgusting humidity (it already feels a tad bit cooler this morning), but I would like a chance to snap a couple of photos :D
Anyway … Just finished up the last of stuff I needed to do before I am out of here so now I am sitting around twiddling my thumbs until about 11:55am (: I think I will go read entries.
