And now back to our regularly scheduled program...

Whew! Well, Twelfth Night is over and done with. Finally, right? Our performances went really, really well actually! I believe we almost sold out on Friday night and Saturday afternoon, and then oversold Saturday night by about 15 or 20 people. Fire codes--who the fuck needs them? Things basically went off without a hitch. The only hiccup was when the lights came on during a set change I was doing by myself. Well, I suppose I got my cameo. I had a number of people close to me show up for the play, which is significant because I wasn't even in it this time! Nic Campos came Friday, my parents came Saturday afternoon, and Kristin and Heather came Saturday night. It's to be mentioned that Weldon also showed up Saturday night (wearing a cast t-shirt nonetheless) but didn't stick around after. Thank God. I don't know what I'd do if I had to talk to him. (For those of you who don't know, he's a grad student who asked me out shortly after I turned 18 adding "would it help if I got you drunk?" to the conversation. He's tried ever semester since to get with me.)

The fun came after the lights went down. We took apart the stage last night so that we didn't have to do it today. It was SO fast too! I think we did it in about an hour. We also rented a U-Haul to take everything back to our storage, which was a huge help. When we'd finished loading the last of the props, we were told to hop into the back of the U-Haul to ride to storage. Yeah, I rode like an illegal immigrant in the back of a U-Haul truck. Picture this: I was crammed up against the door with three fencing foils strapped to my back and my director's bike slamming me in the crotch. Good times. After unloading at the storage area, we drove back in the U-Haul. Our resident Puerto Rican was making all sorts of illegal immigrant jokes, which made it more enjoyable. Also, there were no props or bikes to rape us.

We got to the party and I made a b-line for the vodka. I had a little vodka and Orangina, absolutely got my ass kicked in beer pong, and then decided to leave. I wasn't really in the mood for partying, and knew most of the people there were going to get mad drunk. Also, I knew one of our freshman was going to jump me once she was drunk. She goes to me for advice and tends to be very... slutty when drunk. Doesn't matter if it's a guy or girl. So I took the T home with a girl who lives in the same building as me and watched anime all night. I'm wicked cool.

I really haven't done anything today. Some homework, but I need to step it up. I think I'm enjoying freedom too much.

moving van, party, end of twelfth night
