SAVE THE SIDESHOW!
The Sideshow, the best thing to happen to Saturday nights in Australia since, um, Hey Hey It's Saturday (sorry, my morning coffee hasn't kicked in yet and I can't come up with a better comparison), has been cancelled.
Good News Week and The Glass House suffered the same fate in their first years, but went on to survive a further few. Perhaps, if we all work together, The Sideshow will survive as well - and if all goes well, could live longer than the previous shows.
So if you watch this show religiously, or even if you've casually flicked over once and thought, "That's a bit of orright" - GET ANGRY! Send the ABC a message and tell them that they'd be insane to axe The Sideshow, a program that showcases the best in Australian comedy, music and cabaret. Sign the petition, even though I don't think anyone at ABC will pay attention to a petition. Just do something, okay?
And to the 'heads' of the ABC...
