New Cars
Today I stopped off at Auto Drive with an agility friend. I took a test drive in a Prius v and a Subaru Outback. Right now I have a 98 Subaru Outback which I really have loved. It has between 110,000 and 120,000 miles on it. I can't remember exactly. It's really been pretty trouble free. Last summer the clutch went out and I had the several parts of that replaced. I guess I worry that it will leave me stranded on my yearly cross country trip. But I like that it's a wagon and not an suv.
The new Subaru is more like an suv though they still call it a wagon, I think, and it doesn't get very good gas mileage, 22 city/29 highway. The new Prius v is a wagon. it looks as though it has about the same cargo space as my Subaru and it gets 44 miles city and 40 highway. Unlike the Subaru it doesn't have a roof rack.
Of course, I can just keep driving my Subaru . I don't have to decide now or even soon. This was a few years ago on a trip into New York.
