This is the first hike this season to feel like winter. The woods were mostly dry, but the chill and a few wet leaves reminded me that I should put my Yaktrax in the day pack. Today's hike was in the Spring Hill Conservation land in Acton. I walked from the Spring Hill Rd. trailhead straight on almost to the Nashoba Brook land. The theme of the hike seemed to be rocks and roots, or am I going to twist an ankle or knee? (Neither, but that was not a sure thing.) I'm going to guess it was about 0.6 trail miles. Kind of puny, but better than none. I popped into the Camp Acton land for a few minutes as long as I was up that way, so the total mileage was better than this looks.
Next bit should get me out of Spring Hill and over to a road segment.
