I am having the most boring vacation there. In beed sleeping, or in front of the PC reading and watching shows and films.
It's exactly what I needed. I am starting to feel regenerated. I am actually looking forward to going back to work, and I have plans to go to the fair on Monday.
I am going to pick up my car from the shop tomorrow. The prognosis is bad, but there's still hope for my Ellie (Yeah I named my car. Ellie is short for Elephant, because it's not a very small car.). We'll see how it drives next week.
So what did I do in front of the PC? I reread some old favourites like Keira Marcos' Ties that blind. She's not the best writer out there and her refusal to use a beta annoys the shit out of me, but this is a brilliant exercise in world building, her OC are convincing and in some places is pretty hot.
I have also started to collect Sherlock Holmes fics for my recs. There are some true gems in this fandom.
I watched Grey's Anatomy: I love this show. Those last two may not have been the best episodes, but there were moments of true brilliance, like the return of the Twisted Sisters (Meredith was not the only one who missed Christina), Meredith opening up to Derek about the shooting and Bailey calling God a bastard.
What else did I watch? NCIS:LA. It's camp, funny mindless entertainment. Like Hawai 50. I can't watch NCIS anymore. I love Tony and watching him being turned into a baffoon is too much for me.
Southland is still one of the best shows out there. I am surprised there aren't more fans of this show it's absolutely brilliant.
I spent the morning watching Jon Stewart. How much do I love that man. He's always so compassionate, funny and the voice of reason in a fraught political landscape..
