Here's my side of an IM convo telling a friend about the experience at the hotel pool this weekend. Other than this, it was a GREAT weekend :) including, but not limited to a carriage ride through the city, a 10 inning baseball game that the Phillies won, Geno's Cheesesteaks, and a long visit to the Franklin Institute (interactive science museum)!
MathVxn: then we tried to go to the pool in the hotel, which after 9 is supposed to be adult only
MathVxn: but, there were 18 children there
MathVxn: so we told the front desk
MathVxn: waited a half houyr
MathVxn: then went back
MathVxn: and there were 7 children in there, all being rambunctions, diving into the 5 foot water, etc
MathVxn: and so i asked one lady "are you with any of those kids" and she said "yeah, my son is over there"
MathVxn: and so I said "is he 16?"
MathVxn: and she said "no"
MathVxn: I said "OK, well there's a rule that after 9 anyone under 16 isn't allowed in the pool"
MathVxn: and she said "well, they didn't say anything"
MathVxn: and looked the other way
MathVxn: so i got out of the hot tub
MathVxn: and walked over to the phone and called the front desk
MathVxn: they said someone would be there soon
MathVxn: and about 15 minutes later, a "security guard" (i actually think he was a gardener or something)
MathVxn: came in
MathVxn: and in a very quiet voice said "it's after 9 pm" to the boys
MathVxn: twice
MathVxn: then was going to walk out
MathVxn: but Scott stopped him
MathVxn: and said something like "doesn't the rulee say after 9, no kids?"
MathVxn: and he agreed
MathVxn: then a mom came over
MathVxn: and started giving them crap
MathVxn: them, being scott and "security"
MathVxn: and so, they argued for a little while
MathVxn: and she left (because her kids needed supper...at 10:00 pm)
MathVxn: and there were still 2 kids in there
MathVxn: then the kids dad (and uncle, i think) came in
MathVxn: and we just decided to go b/c we didn't have any room in the pool to swim and they kept bitching loudly about us
MathVxn: and then as we were leaving the mom laughed at us.
