Thoughts from the random mind of Cara

I've found that my mind comes to random conclusions about stuff.

You Passed High School with an A

You have the brains of a high school graduate... at least!
Could You Pass High School?

Ironic how I passed high school with an A since I have neither graduated nor have a 4.0 GPA, but Hey.

The other day I was playing the game EQUATE. It's basically scrabble with math equations rather than words. Anyway, I got this advanced tile set for it that has exponents and fractions like 5/2. I noticed that the bag said that due to the small peices, the contents were not suitable for children under 4. The irony, if your 3 year old is old enough to know that 2^-2 is 1/4, you probably don't need to worry about him sticking wierd stuff in his mouth.

TOK question: Is nonsense the opposite of senese or the absence of it? Can you make nonsense? I don't know, I was discussing this with my mom and thought I'd ask you.

Now that I'm 18, I feel as if I should take advantage of the things I can now legally do. Unfortunately these are.....
--Join the army (I'm sort of a pacifist)
--Gamble (while I enjoy buying lottery tickets, going to a casino is literally a waste of money)
--Serve Alcohol (though I don't have a job at place that does so)
--Get a tatoo (which I'd probably regret when I'm like 40)
--Buy cigarettes (I don't smoke and have no desire to)
--Buy fireworks (I have no occassion to do so for right now)
--Work Overtime (my job is summers only, besides I have school)
and...
--Buy stuff online (which i could sort of do before any way)

I've been having this odd series of dreams lately in which my teachers have been being gradually replaced with famous musicians and actors, more specifically actors and musicians who have been knighted. The main one of these featured Bob Geldof as my math teacher, except that no one in my class knew who the heck he was, so they kept asking me why I was trying so hard to get him to sing for us, and why I insisted on calling him Sir Bob rather than Mr. Geldof. It was odd.

I no longer see much point in going to school. I need two history and two english credits to graduate, yet the school insists I come for at least 5 classes a day. Unfortuanely if I'm not working on something I get depressed, so "getting sick" is not the solution. I have serious senioritis. I also feel like I'm not learning as much as I should be. I get so bored in half my classes and somehow ended up doing sets for Advanced Acting, which I'm fine with that, I've done so much of it before that I feel my experience would be mre worthwhile if I were doing costumes or lights.

I got my new issue of Rolling Stone today. There was a picture of James Brown's body on display in it. This make me glad I'm not a legend. I don't want a picture of my dead body in a magazine when I die. Also, even in a picture, a dead body looks like a wax sculpture. This was whay when I went to Maddam Tuseuds in New York I was scared to touch the wax sculptures. It's like, eew...it's dead.

I need a haircut, I don't really want one though. In college I'll probably go the entire time without getting one, then when I'm going to my first job interview realize that I look like hell from not getting a haircut in four or five years.
