.. except student loans of course. I went ahead and payed my mother's outrageous $253 cable today. That makes us even since she spent about that much on my new radiator before I left for oklahoma. This leaves me $450 left over from my $700 paycheck. It just pisses me off that my 40 year old stepfather cant manage his finances. His paying for stuff that he doesn't have to. Example: He's still paying the rental for the modem they haven't been using since I moved in. He's also paying for the showtime channels that nobody watches. Plus he didn't even mention the late bill to ANYONE until last night and we got a disconnect notice for Saturday. blah..
Anyway, I managed to trim my new desktop system down to about a grand.
-DFI LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D Socket 939 NVIDIA nForce4 Ultra ATX AMD Motherboard($135)
-2 eVGA 128-P2-N368-TX Geforce 6600GT 128MB GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video Card($308)
-AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice 1GHz FSB Socket 939 Processor($190)
-2 Western Digital Caviar SE WD2500JS 250GB 7200 RPM SATA 3.0Gb/s Hard Drives($236)
-Rosewill 1GB 184-Pin DDR SDRAM DDR 400 (PC 3200)($96)
Total: $965
Plus I still have my dvd burner and my old seagate 200gb ata drive(which is still sitting in jess and neals computer). I might go with the smaller 80gb sata hard drives that are $80 a piece but I'll make that decision when I actually order the parts. I have to factor in some cooling products too.
I'll have some time off this weekend(finally!) So, if anyone wants to hang out and get drunk I'd be happy to have some company. Saturday, Sunday, and Monday are my scheduled days off but I might get mandatory overtime on one or possibly two(I hope not)of those days. I'll know which days if any I will have to work by Friday. I also plan on spending some time with my incredibly lovely and patient girlfriend as well(I love you).
Well, time for bed and then another 12 hours of incredibly easy work.
