Self-Teaching College Level Math

I'm returning as a full-time undergrad student in a new major next fall. Between now and then, I want to finish Calculus I and Calculus II at the nearest community college to transfer credit for and fill the BS math requirement. I don't want to have to balance math with a full course load when I know it's not something I'm extremely good with ( Read more... )

Well I never said he was for everybody. I probably like Anton because most his applications are for the sciences and his approach has been helpful in my projects connecting the caculii and physics. You don't have to go in order of the book anyways. Maybe writers should start with the unit concept like teachers do with cross-references to other sections instead of trying to write linearly from front to back.

I just Googled Anton and found someone suggesting him alongside Thomas, and I also like Thomas; so maybe there's a relationship between those who liked Thomas and now like Anton.
