Never mind - I made the horrible mistake of installing updates. So now I am back to square one, with nothing working. So I am going back to my room to pick up my computer, then back to the library to type in all its numbers to the Acer website to beg for the wipe-everything-and-start-over CD, which did not come with the computer.
