Jeez, full blown migraine with light show this morning. Not cool, I have an initiation to be in. K is taking his 4th & PI and I want it to be awesome. Of course, I always want the initiations to be awesome but this one especially, and my part does not call for huddling in the corner refusing to talk... :-p
I took a Rizatriptan which is starting to working, and soon everything should be fine. I was hoping I'd stopped getting these though. My doc put me on beta-blockers which were helping a lot, but apparently they aren't enough, or maybe the dose needs to be upped a bit. I went to him a few weeks ago and told him "I just had a migraine for 3 solid days, I want Topomax! Today!" He said (in that doctor voice) "Um, yes, Topomax is a very good medication when it's necessary. Here, let me show you the possible side effects." Gah, terrifying. So we're trying other things first. Although one of the side effects was weight loss and I could go for that...
