American Horror Story... Hmm.
John and I decided to check out the first ep of American Horror Story this week and we are both left feeling rather hot/cold on the show. Conceptually, I like it. The first ep shows us a lot of things I'm compelled to want to find out more about.
Such as:
1) who are these creepy ass neighbors and what role do they play in the house hauntings? In addition, why is this show making me afraid of people with down syndrome? I was never afraid of them before. I used to delight in their songs about bugs. Now I fear them peeping through my window and predicting my death. In addition, I'm now afraid of maids and naked men in front of fireplaces. (firecockaphobia?)
2) how long will it take me to make a drinking game with the awkward cussing on the show? (1 shot for "shit" , 2 for cock?") dear AHS, just because your channel says you can say a word, doesn't mean you need to some how fit it in every 5 mins. I guess my issue is, if you can say shit and not fuck, then your cursing just seems weak and pointless. I don't even say shit on a daily basis as much as they said it in the first ep. I don't have any issues with them cursing... I like cursing! It's fun! I do it around babies! I just don't like it when it seems put there "just cause they can." Forget you!
3) will I ever not want to punch Dylan mcdermotts character right in the ball sack? Because seriously, WHAT a prick. And I don't even mean the prick he had dangling around the house half the show. Why was that a choice, AHS? Again... Just cause you could? Did I need to watch him jacking off to get the point that he wants to nail the mom from Six Feet Under until next week? No, it was established -quite- well, thanks. The fight between him and his wife where he basically blamed her for cheating on her made me roar with anger on the inside. She's a chump.
Weird and unnecessary choices aside, we are still game for next weeks ep. There is just enough nodding toward kinky fetish sex that it leaves me hopefully that Roach from The People Under The Stairs might make a guest appearance running through the walls at night, moaning. Roach 4 ever. <3
