(no subject)
so after my initial reaction of disgust and hatred for myself for choosing that reared its ugly head the minute after ben and my parents left yesterday, i think i'm doing a pretty good job adjusting. my room is a bit small, but it's still pretty nice... and AIR-CONDITIONED. oh yeah. my roommate and suitemates are fantastic, we get along really well. and not one of them is a stereotypical blonde bimbette, which is a major relief. my roommate brought an n64, so we spent a good hour last night playing james bond:007, which is one of my faves that i used to play when i was younger. i get no cell phone reception in my dorm, so i'm getting verizon. the food's pretty good, and the campus is gorgeousssss. OH. and the girls who live in the suit across from me are also incredibly nice and really fun, and one of them brought a wii.. so we're having a wii party tonight.
i still feel like i'm at some sort of summer camp where i'll be home in a week or so.
and since i'm coming up to cambridge next weekend (and the next two weekends after that...and probably a lot of weekends after that...) for work, it's kind of true. but not, because ALL my stuff is here. it's really strange, but i think i'll get used to it and learn to really love it. classes start tomorrow. yuck.
