Journey, Def Leppard, and other mild medications
So, Jared and I saw Journey and Def Leppard in concert last Friday in New Orleans. What can I say? It was pure 80s bliss in the best possible way. I have never screamed the lyrics of 'Don't Stop Believin' so loudly in my life as I jumped and flailed maniacally. I also swayed romantically to 'Open Arms' and 'Faithfully' and was totally in a land of happiness and joy. I wasn't too pumped for Def Leppard at first, but they put on such a great show! Their happy little one armed drummer and the fire explosions and all the sheer 80s vibe they give off made me quite happy inside. Besides, 'Pour some sugar on me' and 'Hysteria' may possibly be two of the greatest songs in the world. How could I not have a great time? The only thing that made me laugh was the fact that the kids in front of us, who I can only describe as 'OC' kids, were sooo in hate of the concert and not dancing, singing, or even speaking. They had rigid body language and were perpetually confused by the crazed actions of everyone around them. I am convinced their parents dropped them off at the concert as some form of punishment. It made me laugh quite gleefully...silly OC children need to learn to respect their elders music. Why? Cuz it's a magical mysteria, when you get that feeling...
Other than this, family came to visit last weekend with Baby Landon aka Turquoise who has a natural mohawk that was so adorable! And, we had Nic and Crystal's wedding shower, too, so it was insane busy. Have to work this week, but luckily get off for Thanksgiving. And, guess what, babies.....
Madonna concert on NBC tomorrow!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am so pumped. Even though I saw it all in real life, I can't wait to see it on TV and remember all the moments when I saw her performing it live and how it was the best night ever. The brilliance, the seduction, the fantasy...the Madonna. *pumps fist and sings I love New York*
