Dublith was a popular but tasteful tourist spot; there were shops with many items of interest, each of them catering to the locals needs as much as visitors', avoiding a tourist trap's usual strips of identical cheap souvenir shops. The main roads were clean, most people friendly, and just beyond the outskirts was an expanse of woods and streams and lakes vast enough to make a person feel like Thoreau at Walden for a day.
But Klavier didn't get to see any of that. Single colored concrete buildings high enough to block the sight of the surrounding city had small windows, most above eye level, more for ventilation purposes than for the view. It still probably felt safer than the woods where he had been. There might have been a few odd stares through some of the windows across the street from the bar, but nobody was shooting at him. Yet. That was an improvement.
"You want a bath or a drink first?" Greed asked with a motion to the nondescript building on left, presumably where the actual bedrooms and living quarters of most of his crew were, then to his right, to the stairs leading down to the bar itself.
