[While normally subject to relatively high standards of sanitation for a bar in its specific area of town, the Devil's Nest is still in less than top form. The walls and floor have been fixed and the basic utilities are in operation, but furniture, food and liquor are running low enough that business is limited for a variety of reasons. The ruins and scraps have been cleared out, but so much open space makes the place some how feel smaller for is scarcity.
But, if someone asks for a place to stay it went without saying that accommodations could be made. Choosing to turn someone down was one thing. Having to turn someone down would mean admitting to not having enough to do what he wanted, to hoarding rather than enjoying and really having, and that certainly didn't sit well with Greed. What was the point of having things if you couldn't use them freely? Thus, when de Killer's goods arrived ahead of time--a suitcase and a cat--a room was prepared without even caring to ask why his space was needed or when, exactly, he would be showing up to use it. Until that day, it's business as usual for Greed, beyond the rare whimsical attempts to befriend the cat and repeatedly deciding he is more of a dog person.]
