Blah blah blah some endnotes, please feel free to scroll past:

This was my very first fanvid ever, and constructive criticism (or iMovie 09 tips!) is more than welcome. Be gentle with me though, it is my first time. I already know some of the transitions are kind of rough and I didn't splice a great variety of scenes together. Content-wise, I basically envisioned it as "Troy badgers Abed into falling in love with him". You're supposed to imagine Troy is trying to convince Abed to give in to their non-platonic-but-still-adorable desires every time he's talking to Abed with those waggly eyebrows, and all the other characters support Troy in this endeavour. By the last repetition of the chorus Abed has given in (not that it took a lot of effort since they are already in love, but I digress) and then they walk off into Community's equivalent of a sunset together. Although if you didn't get that from the vid at ALL then I'm still very open to other interpretations and interested in hearing what you did see.

On a more general vidding note, making this thing was a lot of fun! I write irl so even though writing fanfic is different, it's not a medium where I feel detached because little things like ~literary techniques~ or bad habits (I KNOW I USE THE "BOTH ___ AND ___" CONSTRUCTION A LOT AND I CAN'T SEEM TO STOP??) bleed over. Even with fanart, which I only dabble in and don't take very seriously, I do draw non-fandom things for fun as well. But I don't do anything at all like video editing in my day-to-day life, so it's an activity purely contained in fandom, making it exciting and different. What I'm saying is, I'm totally on board with this vidding thing and want to do more in the future, so please do bear with me when mediocre vids of Rebel Without a Cause set to Brand New (or, ooh, Cambridge Spies set to Jay-Z!!) keep showing up on your f-list.
