Another nerdlord post about music...Arashi edition!!
Here's what I've learned from several interviews regarding Arashi's favorite music so far:
Aiba: He once talked about listening to Spitz's "Robinson" when he was younger and crying (I KNOW DAT FEEL AIBA :') ). He likes a lot of local artists, I think.
Sho: He listens to a lot of artists but it's mainly hip-hop/R&B. Although Sho did mention in Tokyo Friend Park (a game show) about his visual kei phase, putting up a Luna Sea poster in his room and getting scared of them when he was younger. A more specific list of favorite artists would include: Snoop Dog, M-FLOW, Far East Movement
Nino: He mentioned in one of his "It" column interviews that he doesn't really care about labels (mainstream/indie, what have you) as long as they're good. So far I've only read about how much he likes Ulfuls' music (He mentioned going to their 20th anniversary concert on his now-defunct Game Nikki blog), Backstreet Boys, and Bon Jovi.
Jun: from what I've read so far he listens to Brian Eno (this was from a loooong time ago), Lady Gaga (who can forget his fanboy moment on Music Station's live SP last year?), The Beatles (he's a huge fan!) and Bruno Mars. I can tell that his playlist is a bit more eclectic than the other members. :))
Ohno: He's mentioned Michael Jackson several times in interviews. There was also this one episode in Himitsu no Arashi-chan where Nino mentioned him singing to an EXILE song at a karaoke bar before. :))
Arashi's favorite music is a topic that's very near and dear to me. It's not a comprehensive list, so feel free to add to this! Leave your answers on the comment box :)
