(no subject)
Just stopping by real fast before bed with some neato pictures. Went out to smoke and take the dog out for her nightly poop (which she NEVER does anymore because she's too excited by OMG MOTHS!!!!!!!!1111) and had to run back in and get my camera.
Check out the garage door. It looks like this every night, and then every morning the birds swoop in to nom up the stragglers who didn't make it out in time.

Why it's a luna moth!
It's frickin' huge is what it is.
but so, so pretty. I think it's a male but I am not really sure how to sex moths, but its antennae are really thick but it's not like I have one of the opposite sex to compare it to.
There's a slightly-larger-than-average moth off to the right. It's bigger than a mouse. It's like the size of a goddamn softball.
Ok, off to bed. I totally can't do this internet thing properly anymore without a mug of coffee in my hands. I am pretty useless after noon, in fact.
