Keep Moving Forward
I am very excited to say that as of yesterday, I have been accepted into the internship program at the Kennedy Center!
Starting September, I will be working for their Theatre for Young Audiences department, assisting with production meetings, auditions, artist hospitality, technical rehearsals, scheduling, contracts, Playbill, sales analysis, commissions research, season planning, and budgeting (according to the internship webpage). The two David's that I spoke with (I've met, like, twenty David's in the past two months) were fantastic on the phone, and I have a feeling that they're going to be fantastic to work for. I'm beside myself with excitment! I just know that I'm going to learn so much and be able to land myself a fantastic career afterwards.
Mom literally started to cry when I told her. I owe her and the rest of the family so much for getting me this far in life and with so many opportunities. And Jeff deserves a lot of credit for being incredibly supportive and open minded. I'm just lucky all around. Into the great wide open!
