So... October has basically been the month from hell this year and Halloween isn't even here yet.
It started when my sister got sick back at the beginning of the month. We thought she had a flu-bug, but then a week passed and she wasn't any better. So Mom and Dad started taking her to the doctor and the emergency room to get hydrated and took of work to look after her, another week, she still wasn't any better and seemed to be doing a little worse. So the tuesday before last she calls Dad and tells him she needs to go to the doctor, he takes her and our doctor says she needs to go to the hospital, Mom meets them there and neither Juliana or Mom have left the building of Children's hospital since. Instead Juliana has been in the Intensive care unit, and first because her sodium levels were dangerously low, then because she was retaining an absolutely ridiculous amount of fluid. By which I mean the she had gained around 20 pounds in fluids, after two weeks of barely even touching the lightest foods. Now they have her stabalized and she's awake and talking, but she's hooked up to an oxygen tube, on temporary dialysis, and has a pick line for a protein IV stuck in her. Meanwhile she's got a team of doctors totally stumped as to what's causing the stuff that's been happening to her.
And now I've got a fucking cold and have to figure out some way to drag myself to work...
BLARGH!
