I came, couldn't resist fufufu x3 When I was there, I don't remember who it was, if one of my fellow gaijin classmates hahaha or a Japanese person, but they insisted that Mexico was in South America xO! I also thought "how did you get to university thinking only the US is North America?! xO" hahaha You're questions made me laugh xD and I'm sorry but people like me are to blame for those questions becaaaaauuuse: - Can you use chopsticks? No xO well, kinda but I stil suck at it hahaha - Do you eat bread instead of rice back in your home country? Yes, well more like bread AND tortillas, but that's just a Mexican thing xD - What language do Vietnamese people speak? This got me thinking that some people might think that we speak Mexican instead of Spanish xD hahaha And this made me laugh even harder xD "is there car (or computer or TV blah blah) in Vietnam... ;____; No sorry we don't use such things from Earth, thanks~" xDDDDD hahahaha things from Earth xD hahahaha I can understand your point but I don't think it would bother me so much if someone asked me to say things in Spanish, but maybe it's because I'm a teacher and I would like to teach Spanish ne? =P And then again, guilty!!! xO: - Can you read these words? most surely no ;_; hahaha - Can you write kanjis? no ;_; hahahaha xD sorry for giving gaijin a bad image!! xD hahaha And I would praise you for writing your address using kanji too!!! xD But I do get what you're saying, after living for so long over there, well, it's your home! you're already used to the country and their way of life, right? so being seen as someone "from the outside" mustn't be very nice... >-
Haha, I think it's totally okay with non-Asian people or foreign tourists who just stay short term in Japan. But I look 100% Asian and have been here for years so being asked those questions again and again makes me mad, haha X"D And you're soooo nice as always, no you don't need to feel guilty or something :P it just me who became an scary gaijin here haha~
Btw, what I was trying to say, is the fact that Japanese people expect something funny or interesting from gaijin like us. Like, there're must be tons of things different from Japan with our countries, or you're supposed to be surprised at almost everything here, while it's just nothing special or you're already used to it XD And the fact they're looking for some funny reaction from you while you can't and then they become kind of, disappointed? Sorry guys, this is reality, not TV shows or dramas, lol XD
Yeah, it's just something makes me mad, sometimes :P Actually I'm okay with being gaijin here, and I don't expect Japanese people to accept me as a Japanese person (it will never happen though :p) Any, if I'm in good mood, I'll do some fake-stupid-overreaction just to satisfy them, haha~
