Good things being a fangirl when you come to Japan

Mar 17, 2016 00:47

To be honest, being a fangirl brought me all the way to Japan, and totally changed my life. I did have desire to come to Japan when I was a kid, but it just became super strong when I turned from a manga-lover to a fangirl. "I must go there to meet them! I must go there to meet him!!" Love really can give you strength, huh :D

Japan is a very attractive country. There are more and more foreigners living here. They came here because of work, study, money, etc. I found myself am really lucky being a fangirl, compare to the other people, and I'll tell you why.

1. Advantages in Japanese learning

Being a fangirl, you're supposed to be listening to tons of Japanese songs, watching tons of Japanese TV shows and dramas, so you must get used to Japanese much more than other people and be albe to learning faster than them. Some fangrils' Japanese is already pro because they were making fangirl stuff like translating magazines, subbing movies etc, for a loooong time.

For myself, I think I can pronounce Japanese a lil bit better than the others because I was singing NEWS songs a lot back then, haha~

2. Understanding the culture

You cannot enjoy living in a country if you know nothing about their culture. Fangirls, because of our love to their idols, we surely did a lot of research about everything related to them, including Japanese culture. Japan is totally diffrent from my country, but I learned a lot about how Japanese people thinking, and how they deal with the others, via watching Jap dramas and TV shows.

3. Getting along with Japanese people

When you are a fangirl, especially a JE fangirl, you'll have things to talk with Japanese people around you. Almost Jap people know about JE (they call it Johnny's) and the famous groups like SMAP, Arashi. Just tell them "I am a Johnny's fan", you surely can make a talk with them! And if you're lucky enough, you'll find a cute Jap fangirl friend and can share you the super rare information or help you buy the concert tickets!! Sounds amazing right? X"3

Even if they don't know about your idol group, you still can talk about the Japanese things you learned while being fangirling for so long, and compare to a person who knew-nothing-about-Japan before coming here, Jap people will like you for sure ^^

4. Getting power from your love

Last but not least, I am really grateful to NEWS for letting me being their fan. Without them, I cannot be brave to come here. Living in Japan be yourself is, I have to say that, not easy at all. Listening to their music, reading their message to the fans did give me the power for years. I may become a disqualified fangirl now, but I know that I'll keep loving them :)
