SILENCE, OH CRUEL WORLD! I AM LISTENING TO THE TROMPETTE HARMONIQUE IN MY MIND! ("It's playing the overture of The Phantom of The Opera")
A NORMAL PIPE ORGAN HAS-
(Chapel of Selwyn Colleg, Cambridge, England)
GRAND ORGUE
16' Bourdon- 58 (Pipe is to the left, amount is to the right)
8' Montre- 58
8' Flute a cheminee- 58
4' Prestant- 58
4' Flute conique- 58
2' Doublette- 58
IV Fourniture- 232
III Cornet- 174
8' Trompette 58
This is just one section of the 4 main divisions on the organ. How interesting!
I forget to mention that on the St. Joes organ, there is a rank (set of pipes) called the "Trompette Harmonique". It is the loudest pipe on the Organ without the great pedal. There are actually three pedals, the "Swell", "Great", and "Crescendo" Oh, specifications for the St. Joes Organ-
3 manuals, 33 ranks, 4 divisions (Swell, Great, Pedal, Positif) and 2600 pipes.
I Hope You Enjoyed This Lesson On The Organ (Which is the loudest and greatest instrument of them ALL)
THANKS
