Character Name: Jill Valentine
Series: Resident Evil
Gender: Female
Age: 31
Species: Human
Sexuality: Straight
Appearance: Jill is a somewhat short woman, standing at about 5'3" tops, but don't mistake her height for a lack of power. Jill is very muscular, however lean, which alludes to her many many years of physical training in the military, law enforcement and paramilitary organizations. She is also rather pretty, sporting big, bright blue eyes and a short brown bob that she's kept over the years. She also has a thing for hats, and likes to wear berets. As for regular clothes, she favors nondescript street clothes: jeans, t-shirts, a jacket according to the weather, and boots.
Personality: Like all of the Resident Evil characters, Jill has seen a lot of downright scary, weird and just plain wrong things (Nemesis, anyone?). She hasn't let it affect her too much, as she as always had a very strong sense of justice and determination. When she sets a goal for herself, she will achieve it. She's also the type of girl who doesn't sugar coat things-- she shoots from the hip and calls it like it is. On the flip side of all of that, her strong moral compass also points her to a softer side, which is ridden with sadness and guilt over her teammates and the civilians she couldn't save. She keeps pushing forward in her goal, destroy Umbrella, so that disasters like that never happen again.
Abilities: Jill went through Army training all the way up through Rangers; though she did not complete Ranger training, being one of the few women in the world to ever be given a chance is no laughing matter. Her military training earned her high grades in bomb disposal and weapons training, particularly knives and a variety of firearms and explosives. In S.T.A.R.S., her position was rear security with a specialty in lockpicking that earned her the title "Master of Unlocking" amongst her peers.
Weaknesses: Despite all of her training, Jill is still a rather short woman. Given a larger, stronger opponent, she will take an ass beating. That, and I think it would be reasonable to say that Jill has developed some sort of mild paranoia (Nemesis!) which could cause problems for her in a fight, or even interacting with civilians.
Manhattanite or outsider? Outsider.
History: After being discharged from the Army, Jill was recruited by Raccoon City's Special Tactics and Rescue Service for her exceptional weaponry skills and her ability to work well with a team. She was placed as Rear Security on Alpha Team. We all know about the mansion incident in the Arklay Mountains, which nearly decimated the S.T.A.R.S. Jill and her surviving teammates were left to deal with the horrors of the Umbrella Corporation, and a town that preferred ignorance over justice.
After many heated debates with Chief Irons of the RPD, Jill turned in her badge and gun, refusing to work for such a corrupt organization. She continued her own investigation of Umbrella, and soon found herself in the same nightmare. Only, the T-Virus had infected Raccoon City at an alarming rate. Jill knew she had to make her escape, "her last escape," and Umbrella did everything in their power, even sending the new Bio-Organic Weapon "Nemesis" after her. With the help of UBCS soldier Carlos Oliveria, she was able to destroy Nemesis and get on a helicopter with old teammate Barry Burton and narrowly escape the "sterilization" of Raccoon City.
Since then, Jill has stayed mostly off the grid, trying to reunite with her old teammates and fight Umbrella on her own terms. Opportunity knocked in early 2006 when she found a position with the Bioterrorism Security Assessment Alliance, or BSAA-Northwest for short. She and her team shut down several research facilities, but an operation went wrong in May when there was a large explosion at a facility she was investigating.
Jill Valentine is believed to be dead as of May 15th, 2006.
