Sonnet

Sweet Roni, thou angel of Albion,
Thou mischievous devil; those playful eyes
Embody starlight sent from eternity
As Music of the Spheres pours from thy clarion,
Turning the worlds with perfect, peerless love
That from thy being flows without effort.
Thy wings, thy horns beyond all mortal thought,
Combined with serpentine wisdom and coupled
With dovelike blessings, beckons my deep soul.
Lucifer am I, king of righteous pride,
As thou art Lilith, my infernal bride,
Whose sweetness dries my tears and makes me whole.
Only thy heart a God's sorrow could quell,
For thou art Queen of Heaven and of Hell.
