Well, I found myself a bit of time, so i guess i will write a quick post.
So many things have happened since the last time I posted. I have had a crazy but very fun summer. I'm lovin it. I guess everyone pretty much knows that I got back from a 9 day long road trip with 9 other guys down to California. That was quite a journey. A very fun one at that. So many different funny things happened. Much of the trip was caught on Dan Int-houts nice digital camera, so the memories will be there forever (if anyone wants to see some of those feel free to ask me, but be warned, it was 10 guys on a 9 day trip, so some of the pictures may be found offensive by others).
I can give whoever a run-down on what happened on the trip during the slide show if they wish.
So ya, after the trip, I went to Jack Johnson. Quite good, but I was a bit dissapointed that he didn't interact with the crowd much. I guess watching Live in Central Park with Dave made my standards way too high. I really enjoyed the piano player. Gotta find out what that guy's name is. Damn good. Speaking of Dave....FRIDAY NIGHT! O ya. Me and my brother are going to make it to the front row. I promise you. I think we will end up getting very hurt, but it will be worth it.
So ya, Flick and I took a trip to University of Washington where we had to register. That campus was quite overwhelming right when we got there. But after two days of walking through it, it is already starting to feel like home.
We ended up showing a few hours late to the orientation, but it was cool. I don't really think we missed much. I got into a Computer Science class, Composition: Expository class, and a Music Appreciation class (i have to watch 10 concerts and do write-ups on them). So ya, just being on the campus excited me. College is gonna be so fun. Under one of the dining halls, there is a bowling alley. That is pretty sweet. Theres also three really nice ping--pong tables and about 15 pool tables. Thats just in one basement of a building. It's only a few blocks from the group of dorms that i requested. The food was also amazing which I ate. The technology there is incredible too.
They just purchased three 52 inch plasma tvs. Now, these arn't ordinary tvs. You can link a group up to 10 laptops wirelessly to the tv. Now, you can put the project which your group is working on, onto the tv. All ten people can simultaneously work on it at the same time. It's incredible. People making changes all at once. I guess they bought the technology from some Stanford students or something. I will most likely need it for computer science projects in my later years I'm sure.
Tennis courts are everywhere and I am told the that IMA (gym, sports complex) is amazing. Eh, all the buildings look so cool too. It may take a little time to get used to the open homosexuality and extreme liberalism. Whatever though.
Ahhh....things are going quite well. I still have a month to chill with everyone who will still be here though. School doesn't start quite yet.
I hope a good future is in store for us.
I will talk to you all later, gotta go play some ping pong and go to a staff party.
