A request....
Many of you know Frank the Fortunate and Sabrina Goldbender. Both have been long time residence and supporters of Darkwood.
You may also know them as the owners and operators of Game*A*Lot here in Santa Cruz.
Sometime late Sunday night or early Monday morning Game*A*Lot was broken into and robbed. The store was not vandalized excessively (other than the broken glass door) and it appears that whoever it was that broke in had extensive knowledge of the store and it's business practices as they were able to leave with a significant amount of cash.
Neither Frank nor Sabrina have asked for any form of charity and neither is aware that I am doing this, however I would like to make the following request. The Baroness' Masked Ball is coming in just a few days here in Santa Cruz. Game*A*Lot will be open on Saturday. If you find that you have need of some gaming supplies, perhaps a desire to try a new game or the latest addition of an old one, some dice, a deck of cards or two, Munchkin sets, board games, perhaps a new chess set.... than please visit Game*A*Lot on your way to the Masked Ball.
In fact, I would like to do a small Toys for Tots collection and I would ask that you consider stopping by Game*A*Lot to pick up something just in case you don't have anything to donate. I will take donations of any kind for Toys for Tots, but please consider the possibilities of being able to help out not just the kids but also two of our own.
