It's hard to actually grow anything there since the soils sucks and the weather conditions aren't that great (not much sun and all), but I have found that working in a cube farm is pretty...dull.
For some reason, I was all excited that I was actually working in a cubicle, but it isn't that great. You can hear everything going on around you and there isn't much space. To top it all off, the damn thing must have been designed for preschoolers! I am so uncomfortable that I have yet to find a configuration of desk setup and chair height that doesn't give me a set of sore muscles at the end of the day.
And yet, I am coming home mostly happy every day. How can this be? Well, I get paid better than any job I have had to this point and don't do much of anything except semi-busy work all day. Eight hours will fly by when you have nothing but monotonous busy work to do. That's the other thing; eight hours a day (8:30 AM to 5:00 PM with a half hour lunch) Monday through Friday! I have real weekends and actual time to myself (and with Lisa, of course) on a regular basis without worrying about when we will spend time together and if we will see each other! I LOVE IT!
Giddy!
