Here's my scribble for CHALLENGE B, deadline 15th of September.
A time limited challenge - 5 minutes of writing - including the words HAVOC and UNDERGROUND in the piece.

The earth seemed tremble under my feet as I walked down the empty lane in suburban London. I didn't quite understand the sudden lack of people and the slight tingling sensation in my fingertips which seemed to have come out of nowhere. The pigeons on the rooftops were either quiet and seemed to be frozen in time with their heads bowed down or simply gone. Maybe they had gone to the park. After all it was Sunday and all of the elderly people with their bread crumbs could be found there. The earth trembled again more vividly and this time I stopped. A weird, almost electric sound filled my ears and I looked up by instinct. The skies seemed cloudy, yet still blue in the winter frost - but the blackness of night seemed to draw closer behind the clouds even though it was midday. I had to be dreaming. A crack appeared in the asphalt and I looked down between my feet as small sparks seemed to ascend from it. It grew wider. Shadows seemed to fly by at incredible speeds down there as the fiery abyss grew. I found that my fingers kept moving as if I was hugging my bed blanket. But as the immense heat hit my face from below I knew deep down in my turning gut that this was after all not a nightmare. Havoc had been unleashed in the underground after thousands of years of smoldering and watching the cruelty of man. I managed to take one last, heaving breath before my body began to descend. Engulfed by flames my soul turned into a shadow, circling the lake of fire like millions of others.
