Sunshine, Lollipops, and Rainbows Everywhere! Whee!

So, on Monday, I finally got the chance to start hanging out with my friends again. I worked from 8am-12pm where I met Lee and Jon during work and we made plans to go eat at Ichiban's Sushi Bar later that day. My circle of friends are beginning to merge hehehehe... Since Lee got off work at 3:30, I went to hang out at Jon's apartment where we watched an old Bruce Lee flick (Fists of Fury) and ate cold pizza while I commenced to MST the entire movie.

Then Lee called up and we met up at Ichiban's, but they were closed for lunch break and wouldn't be opened until five. So we went to the mall to hang out for an hour. Went to Sam Goody's and jacked a couple free CD's (technically, you get ONE free if you sign up for their membership card, but they can't sell them anyway, cause is says on the CD "For promotional purposes only" so fuck that! I got too many membership cards as it is!) Walked around, went to Suncoat, where I lamented how "Jim Henson's The Storyteller" was all sold out. They should be restocking soon though. Next, we hit Waldenbooks, where I continued to lament over all the manga I want, but can't afford right now... Maybe for my Birthday, I'll get lucky... Hehehehehe... Looking forward to:

Chrono Crusade vol.1
Cresent Moon vols.1-2
Sister Red vols.1-2 (I like this cause there's only two volumes! Whee!)
Dragon Knights vols.7-13 (really need to complete this collection, it's done at 17)
Revolutionary Girl Utena vols.1-3 (cause I sold my flopped versions of these, so now I need to get the unflopped ones...)
Naruto vols.2-4 (cause I really need to get them, and Rock Lee appears at the end of volume four! Whee again!)
And... Shaman King vol.4 when it comes out. Sure is taking it's sweet ass time though Rawr!

So anyway, after that, we went over to Ichiban's around 5:30 and ordered conch, spicy shrimp, yellow tail, Volcano Rolls, and some kinda tempura roll. Twas very good, to say the least. Went to Jo-Ann's Fabrics for a bit to check out some material. Cried because the brocades are no longer on sale... Sigh... Oh well...

Afterwards, I took Jon home, then headed home myself. It had rained previously, so there were TWO rainbows in the sky! It was magical! I even saw a deer grazing while on my home by way of Morris Bridge road. Awww...

Then I decided I needed to prewash a bunch of frabrics so I can hurry up and use them for Christ's sake! I've got no more room for anymore fabric. And what's worse... Most of these projects aren't even cosplay related. Gasp! I'm making mandarin tops, tunics, peseant tops, cargoes... NORMAL CLOTHES!!! LOL I'm so gey...

Anyway, while taking my fabrics out to the wash, I saw a little snake on the floor of the porch. I think it was a milk snake, but I'm not certain. I KNOW it's non-poisonous (seeing as how my sister trused my jugdement enough to put on a pair of gloves and catch the sneaky little bastard). It's was greyish-white with brown spots, only like 7 inches long. We put him in an old Gatorade bottle with the spout cap, so we left it twisted open so he could breath, but he couldn't get out. So much wildlife in one day LOL. My house is infested!!!

Anyway, I learned a very important thing when it comes to brocade... It unravels VERY easily in the wash (good thing it was only a remnant, and not a nice bolt of it) while interlock cotton jersesys don't unravel at all! LOL Amazing... no wonder T-shirts last so long...

So Monday seemed to be very good for me. I only have classes on Tueday and Thurday, and one night class on Wednesday, so hopefully things will be pretty good, schedule-wise.
