Well, obviously Kambei/Kyuzo is my OMGOTP!!1! because they are not even subtle about it. Katsuhiro/Kirara is sweet, in a young, innocent, we-can-never-be-together-for-our-culture-forbids-it way. And I lovelovelove the idea of Kikuchiyo/Komachi, as long as the romance is 100% platonic and only involves her, like, making him go to tea parties and play dress-up. (Which he secretly loves because he's a big softie at heart)
Would Consider:
Shichiroji/Heihachi - I'm not even sure if this would work, character wise, because I haven't gotten far enough into the series to have a good handle on them. But the doujinshi make me think it would be kind of sweet.
Kambei/Katsuhiro - don't judge me, okay? I know I usually hate student/teacher pairings, but for some reason I am imagining Katsu, like, offering himself up bodily to Kambei to try to get him to agree to train him/help the village, and Kambei being all nooo it is wrong he is so pure and innocent but I waaaant him. I am a bad person.
Hate:
Kambei/Kirara. Ew. Why would you do this?

AUSTRIA/SWITZERLAND GOD. I know we are just about the only people who ship this, but! It needs to happen! They would have incredibly awkward lunch dates where neither of them know how to make small talk, and argue over who's going to pay the check, and try to pretend they aren't going to go back to Austria's place for a round of bed breaking sex.
Holy Roman Empire/Chibitalia. D'aaaaaaaww is all I have to say. Cutest sweetest thing in the whole wide world.
America/Canada - America is dreeeamy, and Canada is adorable and I want to hug him. And I have this sneaking suspicion that while America is self-absorbed and oblivious most of the time, that boundless enthusiasm and self-confidence, turned on another person, would be really overwhelming (and just what Canada needs).
Would Consider -
America/England - although I read it as more brotherly than romantic, the feelings are definitely there, and it is an interesting dynamic, with a lot of room for emotional complexity given the whole revolution thing.
Greece/Turkey epic hatesex. I blame you. End of story.
Hate -
Japan/China. NO NO NO NO. And given the history between the two countries in the 20th century, really, really fucked up.
