I can't understand it.
Why should Draco know about my letter exchange with Pansy Parkinson? I guess the silly girl has told him, despite my warning that she should be careful with her observation
The girl has potential, but till yet she lacks in finesse.
It looks like I should become to one who will teach her that

Draco : -goes to fire, sprinkles in powder.-
Malfoy Manor. -waits for his father to appear in the fire-

Lucius: the fire in Lucius office changes color

He gets up from his desk to see who needs to speak him

He recognizes Draco

"Oh, its you!

What do you want, Draco?"

Draco : what do I want? I would like some answers
Father.

Lucius: I will talk to Severus so that he can give
you the answers for your next exam

Can I go back to work then?

Draco : no, no, no. -shakes head- this isn't
about exams Father. this is about Pansy!

why are you asking her to owl you with information about the school?

Lucius: Well, she has recognized that there are
things happening at Hogwarts that are not normal.

And she has informed me about it.

Pauses

As I remember you have not even told me yourself that you have become a prefect

Draco : -pauses, stammers- I...uh...well...I was
going to tell you, Honestly I was. I just didn't get around to it.

Lucius: Eyes his son with suspect

Draco, have I not told you, that important things need an immediate reaction?

Draco : yes, well. is it that important?

Lucius: I guess so.

Or what is important in your opinion?

Draco : okay, I understand you're point, I'm not
good enough to tell you things. but why her?

Lucius: Because she was the one who was contacting
me.

Draco : -sneers- I wonder why.

Lucius: Would it not be for Pansy I would still
believe that everything at Hogwarts is the usual

And what do you suspect about Pansy?

Draco : it's not that I suspect anything. Pansy
just wants to be a Malfoy, therefore sucking up to you is the best thing to do
in her case.

Lucius: And why would you thin, that she would like
to be a Malfoy?

Draco : it's just obvious, Father.

Lucius: Thell me why this is so obvious to you, my
son.

Impress me with your obervation skills

Draco : it's just how she acts around me. You'd
have to see her.

Lucius: I guess I should invite her to the manor
over chrismas break, so that I can see how she acts around you

amused smile

Draco : no! you can't.

Lucius: why not?

gets even more amused

Draco : you think i'd want to be around her more
than i have to be?!

Lucius: why should you not want?

has a hard time not to laught

Draco : because Father. she hangs on me.

Lucius: and thats bad why?

Draco : because it's Pansy! honestly, haven't you
been listening to a word I've said?

Lucius: loves seeing his son getting angry

I have

But my point is, that she is intelligent girl out of a old family.

You should be pleased that she is interessted in you

Draco : yes, but should she not pleased that I am
not interested in her?

Lucius: Draco, Draco, Draco

Ther is so much that you still have to learn.

Play along for another year or two, and see how helpful she can be for you.

Draco : Pansy? helpful? -laughs- I doubt that.

Lucius: I guess she will prove you wrong.

She has great potential

Draco : -rolls eyes- right father. maybe YOU
should play along.

Lucius: chuckle

I guess she thinks that I'm to old, and that I never would because of your
mother.

anyway.

I am already playing along.

Draco : -raises an eyebrow- how so?

Lucius: I pay her for observation.

This will hold suspection off of you

Draco : oh... well then. no need for me to play
along, i suppose...

Lucius: I just hope this will not turn out in one
of your biggest mistakes

but your young, you will learn

Draco : but if it your wishing, Father, I shall do
it. You know that.

Lucius: I'll keep that in mind

Draco : yes, Father.

Lucius: Still in need for more answers?

Draco : any you want to give me?

Lucius: I have nothing in mind

just an advice

Draco : oh.

Lucius: Stay in the common room tomorrow night

I would not like to see attacked by that teachter of yours

Draco : yes, Father.

about that teacher, Father, there must be something you can do to get rid
of him?

Lucius: I will look what I can do.

Fudge needs money for me, maybe he can help solving the problem

Draco : Do something, Father. He is ridiculous.

He doesn't teach us Dark Arts. He teaches us how to suck up to Gryffyndors.

Lucius: I see the problem.

And the Problem is not Lupin

Its Dumbledore

Draco : It's both of them. Muggle-loving fools.

That's another thing that should be worked on.

did you know how many Mudbloods there are here?

Lucius: how many this year?

Draco : everywhere you go, Father, you seem to run
into 20 of them

Lucius: sight

that is a bad sign

Draco : you must do something, Father.

Lucius: I will talk to Fudge

I would be surprised if my money could not help a litte

Draco : right. good.

Lucius: Head up, Draco, everythint will be fine.

Daddy promises

But now I have work to do.

If you doubt my actions, talk to me again, alright?

Draco : yes, Father.

Lucius: Have a nice day, Draco

Draco : goodbye Father. -heads back into the
fireplace and back to Hogwarts-

Yes, Fudge needs money.
Another orphanage or so. And he has problems with Dumbledore, since Dumbledore has told him that the Dark Lord is back.
Stupid Fudge.
He would not believe it, even if Lord Voldemort would stand in front of him. That comes if even the Minister of Magic is an idiotic half-blood.
The only good thing about Fudge is that he is so easy to manipulate.
And we are not talking about his wife here..... but as I told Draco just moments ago, a woman who hangs on you can always be used in so many ways. How many years are I now holding of Emila Fudge, that one day I will safe her from that excuse of a wizard she married in a moment of missguided love?

Meeting with my Lord is up next, I guess I need to get some rest first
