One of our tenants has died, and they have not really kept in good contact. So we will probably be evicting them. We have started the notice to quit process...and here it goes.
This means we'll need to re-paint and fix a lot of things in the apartment - lame. Dishwasher, bathroom floor and vanity, etc. Nothing hard (that we know of)...just crap.
We just backed out of buying a crappy duplex in Westbrook. I'd like to use the "savings" from that to buy a truck - Mike is going all numb when he drives our little pick-up. We want a full-size truck with a 6 foot or longer bed. The only ones we found had dual climate control. I'm SO happy! But, we're waiting to see what kind of garbage Winslow is going to need. A couple hundred in paint might not be bad, but a couple thousand in electrical fees might be a problem. Either way. A truck is coming.
We also just fixed a yellow jacket situation over there. We thought we had honey bees, and we were trying to do the right thing and have a guy come remove the little dudes. Luckily, they turned out to be (extremely non-aggressive) yellow jackets. So they all died a horrible death. It was so nice to just pay someone to do a project for a change. So nice. I can't even tell you.
Still, I'm glad we're doing it.
