Gene had been healthy and chipper and germ free for a while, so we finally took him in for his MMR vaccination. Last night around 2200, he woke up crying and with a 38.2C fever. He settled down a bit after some ibuprofen, but slept restlessly until this morning. At 0700, he had a fever of 39.2C, and Yoko decided to take him to his pediatrician rather than medicate him again (I'm at work today).
At 1000, Yoko texted me, telling me that Gene has influenza and has to stay home from day care for a week. We had hoped he wouldn't get sick again for a while, but I guess things happen that way. At least I got my flu shot, so I won't get sick.
