So long, Farewell, 'Till We Meet Again

It has come to my attention that when I leave to go back to Boston after my trip home today, I will never be returning to 177 Goose Lane again. This is it. For reasons that are beyond my control, my family is moving. Sure, it's only to the other side of town, but this is the house I grew up in. I mean, it's probably for the best. There are a lot of not so great memories here for my family, and this can be considered to be a fresh start. The house is in a horrible state of disrepair, with heat not even working properly all throughout. The basement leaks, and the smell of mold is everywhere (which does wonders for everyone in my family that has allergies). I guess the thought of me coming home for Christmas and being in a house I've never been in before is making me slightly uncomfortable. But hey, I guess that's life, huh?

Speaking of uncomfortable, check out my 5-year High School Reunion. It was like lunch in the cafeteria all over again...everyone hanging with the same groups of people that they did when we were still in school. No one mingled. Everyone was friendly but...blah. Didn't bother me though, I got to see Marc Tomko for the first time in just over 3 years (he brought his wife Abby and newborn Molly) and he's as awesome as ever. I think the big overlaying theme I saw for everyone was "Nothing has really changed, and the economy sucks so I don't have a job".

Happy Thanksgiving, everyone. I truely am blessed to be out of Connecticut, even though there are still a few people here that I truely care about. Although my home may change, my heart (at least for now) lies in Boston.
