New yim update is a bust
This update is so much of a failure i felt like looking into it. Either yahoo is fading from existance or no one is saying anything. There arnt even blogs in google found about the new failure. And on a second day usually there are thousands.
For android devices and maybe others your asked for the first time ever to provide a cell phone number as required not even facebook makes such a requirement.
Second you cannot tell who is online. At all even when yoyr talking to an online person.
Third all settings are simplified to on or off on now 3 setting cobtrols.
Fourth it lists contacts on main list accorsing to cell numbers and emails of existing contacts on your pho e meaning it scans your phone without permission and lists only ones it thinks you want.
Fith dobt bother with your avatar it doesnt work that blank piture holder wich claims can be altered doesnt alter even if you. Hange it on a pc.
Yahoo this new format looks like was designed by a fool. Graphically bright white and purple or blueish text is very anoying to look at people liked the ability of the old firmat like changing font color or background color. Also knowing who is online. Having to re add all your contacts is frustrating especially being most likely people have had their acct for yrs. The format looks like a microsoft windows buddy no one asked for.
In conclusion . What were you thinking? If yiu wanted to update, update dont reformat the whole thing. For a customer base you dont have wile forgetting the one you do have. You dont look only left wile turning right wile driving you will get yourself killed. Did you guys forget how to do what you have been doing for years or was it a situation of we will throw out the old for the new but not remember its the old people liked.
Changing looks is nice but like a store if you change it to much people dont like it. They go to you for what you have not because your like the other stores. If every place was the same no one would use the other and right now with this new look i might as well call it microsoft. Its well known for failing imediately and looking horrible.
Yahoo you did try but please try harder dont give into popularity when you started you were different and it worked. Dont join the incrowed make the in crowed like you did when you started.
