pheerfest
My turn to chime in on pheerfest. It was the worst thought out and ran event I have ever been to. The event space was 2 miles from the host hotel. While the hotel was very nice, there was no social space at the hotel, and we had to keep very quiet about who we were.
The event space was a nightmare. The play space was too small, the carpet that they had put down, was uneven, dirty, and ragged. The lighting was either too bright or not bright enough. There was no social space and the vendors were set up at the edge of the play space. And it was cold, cold, cold. The workshops were held in a large warehouse space with poor lighting, and no heat.
I'm still not sure about how many people were registered but, including vendors and workers I doubt there were 75 people there.
All in all, it was a very poor experience, for seasoned event goers and newbies alike.
