A Beautiful Shadow
Author: anyothergirl415
Rating: R ish
Summary: Levi gets a wrong call one night that leads to worlds more.
Warnings: Sort of angsty, fluffy and somewhat wonderful I guess.
Disclaimer: I don't know Orlando Bloom, I just have him chained to my bed. *coughs* *snorts* NOT.

Levi sighed and dug her phone out of pocket, looking down at the caller ID. “Um… hello?” She answered, looking apologetically up at Orlando as Scout’s voice filled the phone.

“Oh MY GOD Girl were have you been?!?” Scout nearly screamed. Levi blinked, listening to Sully’s voice in the background telling her to take a deep breath and calm down.

“Um… out?” She answered, knowing Orlando could hear her because of the way his eyebrow was raised in question. His hands hand now moved to circle around her waist and she found herself leaning into his touch.

“WELL! I have been calling your home!” Scout growled, snapping at Sully who once again tried to calm her.

“Why?” Levi questioned, thoroughly confused by the sudden sweep of drama.

“Lydia is in labor!! You need to get to the hospital ASAP!” With that she snapped her phone shut and the line disconnected.

Levi blinked before looking up at Orlando. “Wow… um… can I have a ride?”

Orlando laughed and nodded, grabbing her hand and shifting the flower to his free one. “Man… sounds crazy. I didn’t think she was due until next month.”

“I talk about my life too much don’t I?” Levi responded, looking up at him. Now this… was surreal. They had gone from phone connection to almost kissing to some strange and yet completely normal, relationship. And not to mention it was still all happening with Orlando Bloom. This day was starting to look as if it would go down in Levi’s history books.

The drive to the hospital is quick and Levi finds that it is no different being with Orlando in person as compared to on the phone. Their conversation comes just as easily as she updates him on the story of Sully’s proposal, Scout’s refusal then the make up.

He laughs in the right places and even places his hand gently on her knee as he drives, making her smile just lightly. This feels right and she can’t possibly explain why.

They pull into the parking lot and rush inside, following the signs up to the birthing center where she finds Sully and Scout waiting for her, Scout walking back and forth through the hallway.

“Ah! Levi! Finally!” She squeals when she sees the girl and runs up to her, throwing her arms around her body in a large hug. “Gods! I never thought you’d show up!!” Her movements paused when she saw Orlando, hanging back, his hands stuffed in his pockets. “Dear lord girl… is that… who I think it is?”

Levi giggled and pulled back, moving to step beside Orlando. “Yeah, Orlando this is Scout and Sully, guys… this is Orlando… or as you may know him Orion.”

Orlando laughed and stepped forward to shake their hands. “Nice to meet you both, I’ve heard loads about you.”

“You too,” Sully nodded, smiling at him and nudging Scout when she didn’t take his proffered hand.

“Scout?” Levi whispered, looking worried at her.

“Well… you’re not fat,” Scout mumbled, finally taking his hand and shaking it.

Both Levi and Orlando laughed, pulling a chuckle from Sully as well.

Orlando and Levi sat in the waiting room, Levi nervously tapping her pen on her leg, leaning almost subconsciously into Orlando’s body. “It’s crazy isn’t it?” He spoke after a break of silence. Sully and Scout had gone of to get some food for the four for dinner and so it was only them in the waiting room.

“What is?” Levi asked, leaning more into him and allowing her pen to now trace along his leg that was crossed at the ankle on his knee.

“This…” Orlando trailed off and Levi looked up at him, a signal for him to continue with whatever was crazy. “The whole… being here thing. You and me. It just feels so… natural. Normal. Like we’ve been together for years… not… well… we’re not even really together huh?”

Levi laughed and laid her head on his shoulder. “No… not really… but you’re right… it does just feel… normal to be together. I love it actually… I mean… I love how completely right it feels.”

Orlando smiled and kissed the top of her hair. “Levi?”

“Yeah Orli?”

“Do you want to be my girlfriend?”

“Yeah Orli. I do.”

Levi fell asleep at some point during their wait, her head resting on Orlando’s shoulder. She knew she dreamed of something - and it was most likely wonderful - but when she was shook gently awake, she could not recall it for anything. Her head nuzzled gently into the warm shoulder of the man whose arm was around her and she blinked a few times before looking up at him.

He smiled down at her, his tongue peeking just slightly between his teeth. She smiled at him, wrapping her arms around his stomach and squeezing tightly. “Mm… what time is it?”

“About 10,” he nodded, tightening his grip on her a little. “Lydia had her baby love.”

“Did she?” Levi sat back quickly, a grin tugging on her lips. “Boy or girl?”

“Boy,” he laughed, reaching out to smooth her hair back. “Apparently he has his father’s eyes and mother’s hair… and they named him Damien. Scout seemed to think you’d be highly amused by that fact.”

Levi giggled. “Yeah, that’s awesome.”

The two looked at each other for a moment before Levi leaned in slowly and pressed her lips to his, letting his tongue slip between her lips to take in her taste, searching lightly.

As their arms wrapped around each other, Levi felt the press of her cell phone through her purse that was between the two. It was hard to imagine that all of this had started with only a wrong number. And now, here she was dating the celebrity she’d been crushing on for years.

And of all the thoughts she knew she should have had right then - like why all of this made sense to her without much explanation - the only real thing that could get through him mind was the wonder if she would have to take down his posters now.

“You really are beautiful,” Orlando whispered against her lips as she pulled back from the kiss softly.

She blushed and looked down at her lap, smiling softly.

“A beautiful shadow,” he whispered into her ear before leaning in and capturing her lips once more.

The End
