An overall feeling I had while writing this was how human the characters were. Despite wanting them to be that way in all of my fics, it was especially so here. I'm so glad you felt that way about Minho, because it's exactly the way I felt too. He really is, above everything, just human.
(You realize you've just mentioned one of my most definite favorite works of fiction ever now? Lord of the Flies is my book. Even after reading it, I had to buy a personal copy, which believe me, is rare. Usually I only read anything once, but I've read this book all the way through twice, and gone back for certain parts more than that. Anyway, totally not the point.)
The way you articulate these basic human needs and desires has really blown my mind. Even in a comment, you have such a way with words and really made me think. I love comments that do this! But it's really so spot on!
Haha! Mean Writer. Maybe that can be my nickname? ^.^;; (I get carried away sometimes) Anyway, thank you. Reading this really made my morning, and I will keep from blabbering anymore in this response. I tend to do that to long, thought out comments. Like, let's have a discussion! xD By the way, fantastic ending. Great quote. :D I will make unicorns!

(Lord of the Flies really gets to you and the story is probably going to haunt you until.. idk, one is gone mad or dropped dead. As he himself have said: "My yesterdays walk with me. They keep step, they are gray faces that peer over my shoulder.")
Well. Life is the only inspiration and motivation with its people and other stuff in it. I think people and writers especially are interesting of their ways coming to the point of finding a this particular thought to be worthy written into a story with the notions and interpretation of how the writer sees the environment. I mean, it's an emotional choice with so much work around it I cannot even begin of how amazing it is. And usually it is done to be shared and it's only fair to appreciate it. After of course how you made me think of these thing and how much a small story can live in its essence, a even bigger life and offer several angles to interpret. I love reading between the lines eventhough in a novel words ARE are staring in your face. What you've being told might sometimes be anything but the thing you're being told. Oh well, talking about getting carried away.~~
I for now and forever engage thee to be called Mean Writer! (For my part the least.) As for unicorns and Gubler, in my vocabulary this style of writing is called spoon-elf. Go figure. ^^,
