Qui-Gon goes back to his quarters and investigates his surroundings a little - he has hardly had a chance to unpack his padd much less find out anything about his lodging. It's a simple apartment, though not the worst place he has slept in by a long shot. In fact, the bed is positively comfortable

Well enough. They've let me have one of the strategy games since I'm still on bedrest. They say I'll be allowed to do a lap around the healer's ward alone tomorrow. I'm looking foward to it.

Strategy game, eh? Look out for Level 4 - the bantha race is a real pain in the ass.

But it's good to hear that they are going to let you out of bed tomorrow, even if only for one lap.

The people here are quite nice - I was invited to dinner with one of the Ambassadors and the Chief of Security this evening. I got the recipe for the main dish - something called "Four Cheese Lasagna". I think you'll like it - it's very tasty and very messy. Perfect Padawan food.

Tasty and messy. Does it come in large quantities? I've had nothing but goo and glop since I've woken up and the thought of something as solid as cheese sounds wonderful.

The recipe says it makes 12 servings - which ought to be just about enough to feed a starving Padawan when we get back to Coruscant. And wait until you taste dessert...

More of a stray, I think, needing a little care and instructions on how to avoid straying again. Remember I mentioned the Security Chief? He's just found out he's a low-level telepath at the ripe old age of 30-something. He's got impressive natural shielding, as you might expect, but he's got no more control than a 2 year old crechling. Apparently there are rules in this society that if he can't get his talent under control, he can be "re-educated" or even drugged into submission.
