Birth Chart:

Yellow Sun

The Yellow Sun is the last glyph in the Tzolkin and key words associated with it are `enlightenment and universal fire`. People born on Yellow Sun days shine like the sun and they are very bright. Be careful that you don`t cast too many shadows with your brilliance or people you love will be destined to live in darkness. The Maya worshiped the sun as so many cultures have and people born on the days that are given in honour of the sun should also respect the source of our energy. It gives us warmth and enables our food to grow. It is also capable of burning our skin and scorching the land. Respect your own inner fire and ensure you always use your power for good and not for personal gratification. Hold tightly the reins of your ego and those who admire your brilliance will also respect you.The Maya referred to the sun as `kin`, they also called a person `kin`, as well they called a day `kin`. They saw that the sun and the daytime as the same thing and a person was called a kin because they were born of the sun. We are in a sense the day we were born. This is why in the Mayan calendar the characteristics of the day your were born is important. You are in sense the essence of the day you were born.

All people born on Yellow Sun days will have in common the same challenge, occult and like-minded glyphs. The only aspect that changes is the guide and that is because the guide is allocated according to your birth number (see chart below).

The Challenge of the Yellow Sun is the White Dog.The White Dog represents `love, loyalty and heart`. White Dogs are very playful like puppies but can also be fierce like guard dogs, when something or someone they love needs protecting. Dogs have a valuable lesson to teach us. Not only do they set an example by their impressive loyalty but they can also show that life doesn't have to be complicated to be enjoyed. If you have ever watched a puppy playing with its tail, you will understand this. Dog says to us that sometimes we need to be playful and not take ourselves or life too seriously. To have this glyph as a challenge implies that issues of love and loyalty need resolving. Either you are too busy with your search for enlightenment to remember to love or love has let you down. Either way it seems that the search for enlightenment and the challenge of love are intrinsically linked.

The Occult glyph for the Yellow Sun is the Red Dragon. This glyph represents `nurturing and birth`. The occult glyph always symbolizes the magical power that you have hidden within you, the ace up your sleeve. To have Red Dragon as an occult suggests that you have a magical ability to nurture. You can retreat into your dragon`s cave and there rest and recover. You then emerge reborn. In a sense, when the sun sinks beyond the horizon and rises again the next day it seems to mimic the birth cycle.. It is a very handy thing to be able to nurture yourself in this way and on a magical level it keeps you strong.

The Like-Minded glyph for the Yellow Sun is the Blue Storm. This glyph symbolizes `self-generation and changes`. It is a natural ally and when ever you meet these people you will feel the connection and something between you clicks.

If you are born on a number two (lunar) or a number seven (resonant) or a number twelve (crystal) , then you are guided by the Yellow Human. This glyph represents `free will, wisdom and channeling`. It is the psychic of the Tzolkin. For a Yellow Sun to be guided by Yellow Human suggests that you are guided by your intuition. Channeling messages from spirit is your path to enlightenment.
