Genericon

Figured I should write up what I did for Genericon.

Went Friday night with my friend John. Didn't do much. Checked out the dealer's room. Got a Mon Collie Knights cel, some furry art (cat in a tuxedo), and a Pokemon Jr game. Watched Lupin III and Planetes.

Went Saturday with my friend Daniel. Back to the dealer's room where he was nice enough to pick me up a Martian Fluxx game and I picked up a Sailor Mercury keychain. We watched the cosplay competition which was very cool. Lot's of really cool costumes. My personal favorites being 'The Monarch' from Venture Brothers, 'Jareth' from Labyrinth and 'Wizardmon' from Digimon. There was also some nice costumes from things I didn't recognize. We then watched a geek comedian Uncle Yo who was very cool and very funny. I then went to watch GaoGaiGar: King of Braves to kill some time before the LARP. It was a Plan Nine from Outer Space LARP, where we pretended to be in a board meeting arguing over why plans 1-8 failed. It was hilarious. I was one of the few who had seen the actual movie though. I killed some more time watching nerds line dance then off to an anime writing workshop run by Robert Axelrod. He's a writer and dub voice artist, did Lord Zedd for Power Rangers and more importantly was the voice of Wizardmon, my favorite Digimon. I got my Wizardmon card signed and then we left.

All in all a good time.
