more car stuff
Last weekend, I ran into my mechanic... er... well, he was my mechanic back in the Subaru days. The conversation I had with him gave me a renewed confidence in the likely longevity of the Honda Insight, despite the trauma it has suffered. He said that he's seen Honda engines run for several minutes with no oil and suffer no ill effects. What does this mean for me? This means that I'm not going to be buying a new car in the very near future as I once expected. Of course, I don't intend to stop car-shopping any time soon(tis the nature of my disease), but I probably won't be taking out another loan to buy a car. Naturally, this doesn't rule out the acquisition of another 4Runner-esque junker. This is good news for both my credit report and my checking account. :-)
Just wait til I get an aftermarket motor controller and 90Kw motor installed in my little hybrid... that'll teach all you nay-sayers out there that think a hybrid can't be fun to drive. ;-)
