It has been some time since I last updated this journal page. I've been a little busy.
My English Professor gave me a B on my last essay. It's the first B I've gotten on a paper since middle school, and to be perfectly honest I think it deserved an A. My English Professor teaches that class like we were a bunch of fifth graders. She asked us if we knew the definition of the word "synthesis"...I wanted to scream. She also makes us do group work.
My Contemporary World History teacher doesn't speak English. She can speak four languages, but not English. I wish she would do more in class than read of her notes so we can copy them down. It's really boring. I also wish that she would discuss the assignments in the class instead of simply expecting us to show up with a finished project. Oh well...
My Math Professor...well...I hate math. I failed the first test, but she drops the lowest grade so if I do well on the next two tests the first one won't count.
My Asian Studies Professor is nice. She seems to know what she's doing and she knows how to teach the material. If she would just stop preaching the wonders of eastern philosophy I would be very grateful.
My Biology Professor is pretty cool. His class isn't easy, but he makes it accesable enough that people don't have to be experts in the sciences to make good grades. Plus, even though most of his labs are boring (and he admits they are boring) he does his best to make them as short as possible so we don't have to stick around in the X building for an hour after class.
I have been seriously thinking about changing my major to humanties. I've heard that you need fewer credits in math, and I know that I wouldn't need to extra foreign language classes. I've been toying around with the idea of becoming a history teacher. I don't know why. Possibly I am loosing my mind.
Spring Break is almost here. Exciting.
My power steering is giving out, and I think one of tires is going flat. I can't take the car in for fear that the problem will require them to keep the car overnight. I'm going to have to wait till I go home for Spring Break. Until then I can only pray for my car.
I've been thinking about taking up pipe smoking. I smoke the occasional cigar, but more and more I've been attracted to the idea of pipe smoking.
Oh! Here's a strange and exciting piece of news. I actually met some cool people. They're a Warhammer club here in Gainesville. I've going over to paint models, and this last Saturday I went over and played my first 40k game (I got my butt kicked). It was really fun. I've also been invited to join an Iron Kingdoms roleplaying game that's going to start after Spring Break.
That's pretty much everything that's been happening with me.
